Texas Sage 'Silver Cloud' (Leucophyllum candidum) is a tough, drought-tolerant evergreen shrub with soft, silvery-white leaves and deep purple flowers that pop up after summer rains. It stays compact, about 2 to 3 feet tall and wide, and thrives in heat, full sun and poor soil. Great for xeriscapes, borders and low hedges, and deer resistant. Plant in full sun in very well-drained soil and avoid overwatering once established. Hardy in USDA zones 8-11. Container grown in a 3-gallon pot and hand packed in central Louisiana.
