Oakleaf Holly (Ilex x 'Conaf') is a fast-growing evergreen holly with glossy, dark green leaves shaped like small oak leaves. New growth comes in with a bronze-red tint, and it produces bright red berries in fall and winter that birds enjoy. Its upright, cone-shaped form makes it a great choice for privacy hedges, screens, foundation plantings or as a standalone accent. It can reach 15 to 20 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide over time and takes pruning well if you want to keep it smaller. Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA zones 6-9. Container grown in a 3-gallon pot and hand packed in central Louisiana.
