This Compacta Holly (Ilex crenata 'Compacta') is shaped into a neat cone, giving you a formal evergreen accent with small, glossy dark green leaves. It looks great flanking an entryway, framing porches and walkways, or in large containers. Keep its shape with light trimming once or twice a year. Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained, slightly acidic soil and water regularly the first year until established. Hardy in USDA zones 6-9. Container grown in a 3-gallon pot and hand packed in central Louisiana.
